When multi-millionaire party girl Paris Hilton was charged with breaking her probation and sentenced to jail, it was a small victory for all us regular people who obey the laws and pay hard if we don’t. Finally a seemingly untouchable celebrity was paying for their crimes, which in Paris’ case included drink driving, alcohol-related reckless driving, and driving with a suspended licence. I think it’s very stupid and ridiculous that celebrities get away with so much crap. They’re humans too. What pissed me off was the she was released after only four days but with house arrest. Even then she still gets away. They decided to throw her back in jail for 23 days, but she came up with an excuse like a medical condition. God forbid its a little cold and God forbid you’re not sleeping on your silk and Egyptian cotton sheets. They also decided to give her a 4,000 square foot area or wonder around in. she also gets people from different fashion stores to bring her the latest fashion in clothing and other things. If you’re going to jail for doing something stupid that’s going to potentially affect people around you like drinking and driving then you deserve to do time and not screw around. I don’t think its right that she gets to bend the law just because she’s famous and a millionaire. This tells me that our government can’t handle those who have money and fame. Everyone should serve time like they should and not be able to bend the laws or else why have a law in the first place. Its there for these kinds of reasons so people can be straightened out. Paris said she’s going to be a different woman once its all over……HA, like im going to believe that one. Once you’re a screw up, you’re a screw up for good.
