Ahh yes, the good old war between video game systems. This is like a never ending freaking cycle. It makes you want to take a Tylenol or better yet Motrin (for me at least). Well, being an Xbox 360 owner, I think I’ve got my money’s worth. It’s got everything I pretty much need….pretty much what every die hard video game freak needs and wants. The Playstation 3 (PS3) is also a good system, but a little more expensive than the Xbox. PS3 has 2 versions, a 20GB and a 60GB and come with a built in HDMI….remember what that is? Look at the post below and you’ll know. But ill just tell you anyways, it stands for High Definition Multimedia Interface. Through this connection, you can play and watch movies in full high def view which is 1080p. The downside though to PS3 is that it DOES NOT COME WITH AN HDMI CABLE….AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH….WHY, WHY?? Yea I know it sucks so you pretty much you gotta spend an extra 50 to 100 bucks on a cable. Oh and the price for PS3 is $499 for the 20GB and $599 the 60GB. Thanks Sony, that’s just the kind of prices we look for in a crappy economy. One good thing about it is that it’s got a BluRay DVD player…again that’s mentioned in my other post. But you can’t take full advantage of it with an HDMI cable and an HDTV….Cha Chingggg…and there go’s your life savings…no I’m just kidding. As for the Xbox, it comes in 3 versions; Core system which comes with only a wired controller, a Premium system which comes with one wireless controller, a 20GB hard drive, and a headset for Xbox live, and then there is the Xbox Elite system, which is the mother load. That one comes with a wireless controller, a whopping 120GB hard drive, and an HDMI cable…yes that’s right the people at Microsoft are not cheap a$#’s. And it’s in Black, compared to the other 2 systems which are white. I personally like the black one because it goes with my home theatre system. I like the Xbox more because it’s got A LOT of game selections, and I mean a lot, and it weighs less too. It also has a lot of different accessories which is pretty cool. Both systems are capable of displaying at 1080p which is the highest resolution available on market….unless you got a lot of $$$ to burn and in that case you can get the 1090p which isn’t available to anyone….I think it’s only like for commercial usage because it’s very pricey. I always go to Best Buy to see what’s new and I rarely see someone buying a PS3 because it’s so expensive. Plus its online system is crap compared to the Xbox Live. You can trash talk people from around the world and not worry about getting shot, you can talk to your friends and chat, you can even do video chat too, and you can use the Xbox 360 webcam to take a picture of your face and place it on a character on a game…how sweet is that. It’s like you’re James Bond trying to rescue the girl. I looked at the PS3 titles and nothing really interested me all that much. I’ve even asked people who own it and they don’t really like it all that much anymore. I guess it wasn’t what they expected. I think the only reason why people bought it was because of the BluRay DVD player. I mean a normal BluRay DVD player will run you about 700 to a grand where you can get a PS3 and get it for only 500. Sony needs to step it up a little bit and also improve their online system. I just don’t think it will be as good as the Xbox Live. What’s nice about the Xbox 360 is that you can integrate it with your laptop or home computer and enjoy photos, videos, watch TV, listen to music, and even surf the web. I think that’s another reason why Xbox 360 is in the lead. I can sit here and tell you all about the Xbox 360 features and what you do, but you’ll be sitting here forever. For example, you can now download FULL LENGTH movies from all different types of genres, and some are in HD format. You can even download TV shows and clips and a lot of other cool stuff. If you guys get one, you’ll know what I’m talking about. One time I was playing a basketball game online and the person I was talking to was in his 60’s and was trash talking with me… I was like oh lord the baby bombers are taking over the Xbox world.
